Meet Amanda
Amanda considers herself an accidental artist, stumbling upon painting as a creative outlet in the midst of her busy schedule as a mom of two. A hobby quickly turned into a passion and within a year Amanda began selling her artwork around the country and in Raleigh shops and shows.
Her love for and experience in the world of interior design has inspired much of her work. Amanda even interned on set for HGTV back in college! It gives her such joy knowing her artwork will help collectors complete their interior design goals. Amanda enjoys creating palettes that coordinate with some of her most loved chinoiserie decor and patterned textiles. Soft, feminine abstract is her signature style but Amanda enjoys exploring mixed media and makes sure not to limit herself creatively. And as Amanda likes to say, her paintings aren’t complete without a touch of pink!
In addition to painting, Amanda taught elementary school for seven years and now runs a small tutoring business in the Raleigh area. She resides in Apex, North Carolina with her husband, two boys, and Labradoodle.
Make a donation
As a former classroom teacher, children have always been an important part of Amanda’s life. Children like Charlotte are the reason Amanda believes one foundation, in particular, deserves a permanent place on this page. Be The Rainbow Foundation was founded by her neighbors, the Reynolds family, who fought alongside their youngest daughter as she battled pediatric cancer. Now ten, Charlotte is thriving and healthy! Her family is giving back to help support other families overwhelmed by the financial and emotional struggle of childhood cancer.
